Hey Y'all!
Thank you all so much for the prayers and the comments! Echo de menos mi gente de equipo 1! (I miss my people on team 1!) And so does Nathan... he's standing over my shoulder right now to ensure I say hi for him!
We spent the day at La Chureca... as Shannon posted! I just had a few personalized hola's from the kids.
Iceman... Wendi say's "Te quiero tambien" She left me temporarily today for another man. He's younger, bigger muscles... but I'm still taller! Let me know if you need prayer for anything! And good luck with your presentation (I think you said it's tomorrow)
Judy... Ana lit up when I mentioned your name. She said Te quiero tambien, tambien!
Wee Wee-Alex was talking to Chris about you today. He says hola tambien! (that means also)
Glenn-I say Encantado!
Kara-Your messages are inspiring. I've read each of them to several people here and they seem to really sink in, thank you!
Rick-Thank you so much for the encouragement. I really, really appreciate it. You're an awesome man of God and a great leader. God has, and is going to do great things thru you. I'm blessed to be a part of it. And by the way, no joke, I was laughing out loud before it even said "Kris this is where you laugh"... people just turned and stared.
Mom-Pack your bags... I don't think I'll be coming home.
We miss you all so much! You're in our prayers everynight... I expect all of you at the airport, banners, balloons, you know the drill! (just kidding!)
I'll just leave you with my favorite picture from today... Love you all!
Kris
The one, the only, Antonio! (I had to bribe the kid with candy for this picture!)

Kris-
I'm so jealous you hung out with Wendy and Antonio. By the way... SICKENING pic of Antonio, ES MUY BIEN! I was looking at my photos of Wendy and Antonio today. Still can't get past them without crying. Oh ya... and HI Nathan!!! Good to know you are all doing well. Soccer with the kids sounds like loads of fun! I also like the yellow in the school. By any chance, did you see Carolina today? I'm also praying for you all too. A lot of us on Team 1 are feeling down. Keep us in your prayers. Kara and I are MySpace buddies now. You're next in line! Thanks for the update. I'll check back in with you guys tomorrow.

Hello all,
as I read all of your comments I kind of feel a comfort, knowing that we are all struggling in this together. I, too, felt depressed and did not know how to convey this to anyone. I miss having coffee and reading my bible on the porch in my shorts with my 4 coffee bandits. Tell Team 2 we will be praying for them. I am enjoying the blogs and pictures.
It was a tough day muddling through the norm. Everything was so different as if I were seeing through different eyes. I was more watchful in my conversations and aware of opportunities to tell others how God is working in our midst. I am so thankful for this blog... We as team 1 get to experience Nicaragua vicariously while team 2 experiences the goodness of Gods' people moving in Nicaragua. I shared with Rick on Sunday a picture that came to me during service of a tree grown from Gloria's vision and obedience. The lives that she is changing and touching through her faithfulness by being in the center of God's will. Kris Thank you for your blogs. Keep loving on those babies.... and Nathan hello from the millers, we so appreciated your helpfulness and getting our humor.
Thanks for the picture of Antonio! I so wanted to see him. I wanted you to give him a big hug for me and Rick. I think about him and Wendi all the time!
Say hi to Nathan for me and tell him to stop popping his gum. I can hear it here in the States!.
Smiles and Blessings.
Shelly,
Thanks for the vision of the tree. For some reason throughout this experience and beyond Lord of the Rings keeps coming to me. The desperation, the darkness, the war against evil -- but still there is hope even when all seems impossible and in the end the tree blooms and the KING returns. What a powerful vision of what Gloria is doing - being in God's will and slowly moving through the darkness, fighting back the evil one and giving hope and paving the way for the KING. How wonderful to be a small part of that movement.
Team 2, the pictures and stories are so great. Thanks for keeping all of us here at home updated on your trip. I know your team has a number of young adults..how are each of them doing? It's so much for any one person to digest so I know for you parents there is an extra concern for how your children are doing with everything they are seeing and experiencing. One thing for certain, this is something they will remember for the rest of their lives. It's so wonderful of you to have given them the opportunity to serve is this capacity.
Prayers coming your way daily (both team 1 and 2).
KC Blais (aka Maverick? I'm right aren't I?).....the Mama is confused...am I packing my bags or making a banner?
Please give each of those precious children....Carlos, Victor, Nixie, Wendy, Nancy and all of the other ones that have yet to be mentioned a hug and a kiss from me.
Love to all of you.
By the way Kris, don't bribe Antonio -- that's no good! You'll spoil him! Tut, tut, tut. . . but it was still was a cute picture. Smiles
Hey Team 1 and interested Team 2: people are posting their picture at snapfish -- check it out -- and post your own!
Hello again-
My spirit is a bit more lifted today. I went to my small group last night and poured out my heart to my gals. I think it was a good thing. At first, when I got home from the Nicaragua, I could barely speak to my husband about the trip. He kept asking questions about it, and I could only give one-word answers. But over time, I have been able to open up and share my experiences and my husband has prayed with me as well as the gals from my small group. I still think about Nicaragua every moment, and everything I do and see remindes me of them, but I feel my joy returning. I have loved reading the blogs and seeing familiar faces and places in the photos. I still wish I was there, but I know you all are continuing the work. If you go back to La Chureca again, and if you see Meyling there (12 year old girl) tell her "Karita" says hola. :-)
Lotsa love,
Kara
Hi-o! Team-o #1
I love David’s Spanish speaking lesson – just add an “o.”
Suzanne and I returned to Indiana safe and sound and were greeted by husband & boyfriend with winter coats in hand. I have been constantly drawn to my pictures, the BlogSpot, the snapfish site and most of all to my Nicaragua prayer box, what a special blessing! I have already purchased 2 sets of 5 Crown card game and the book Ben recommended. You guys were amazing and great brothers & sisters in Christ to be with this past week.
It was hard to touchdown in the “land of plenty” but remember God has a plan. God has commissioned us to be his hands & feet, his voice of love, to speak truth, to combat evil and to do good. We are to be God’s light in a desperately dark world. God calls us to live lives of love, mercy, and grace and to make God real to all people everywhere whether that be in Indiana, California, Texas, Oregon or Nicaragua. We are Christ’s ambassadors!! Until we met again – love to all!
In faith,
Marcia
PS. Kris, please try to get an update on Pablo, my boy with the zipper problem-o. I pray for swift healing physically and emotionally. Gracias.
Kara, that is exactly how I have been!
For anyone interested or needing to talk, my email is suzanne_eller@hotmail.com
I would love to hear from you! I will also post tonite my close up pics of the monkeys on snapfish for anyone who didn't a good pic. Just an
FYI, I am still waking up several times a night to little chirping gecko sounds! I have my flashlight beside my bed just in case!
Encantado, suzanne :)

Hey All,
Today was a tough day for me. I thought it would get easier, but it isn't. Still haven't gone a day without tearing. Night time is the worse because I don't have work to preoccupy my mind. I haven't been much of a social butterfly. I hope you are all hanging in there. Someone please tell me it's going to get better! =(
Mama Blais, yes- Maverick is correcto. It's confusing, but your son has multiple personalities, he just hasn't confessed it yet. =)
Val- Thank you SOOO much for setting up this blog. As I go through my days, I look forward to checking out what's been going on in Nicaragua.
Shelly- I too am living vicariously through TEAM 2. They must think we're crazy by now with all our blogging!
Encantada- While you were up early with your coffee buddies, we missed you late night with the insomniac crew. I'm sure we all miss your jokes, I do!
Kara Kara Bo Bara- I still want to wrap you in a box and take you home. Are you sure? I'll Fex Ex you first class.
Suzanne- OH Suzanne, the gecko story just makes me laugh. When I'm feeling down, I think about that... OK and I pray too. I wish so bad that we had a photo of it.
Marcia Marcia Marcia- Just want to let you know that I've been praying for your Pablo. =)
Maverick- Mas fotos de Wendi y Antonio por favor! Give Wendi more kisses and Antonio a Cinco, Diez, Veinte for me! You'll have to start writing down all our orders. I'll send your tip in the mail. Haha! Waiting for your next update...
SOoooo... Anyone down for a game of Skip-Bo? I'll shuffle.
Thanks iceman...see maverick the mama is on to you..even from home...so iceman, did I read your message right that you're coming to visit on the 13th?
...looks like the 14th. God threw a curve ball in the work schedule. He's funny like that.
Kris, thanks for the update. Reading through these blogs, I can see and feel what our team is feeling; we invested our hearts in the children. I'm with everyone else -- tears when I look at the pictures, over and over. I'd also like an update on Pablo, our little "wounded warrior." Knowing the risk of complications, I prayed for him desperately that night! And I miss Ana so much!
Judy
Hi anybody on team #2. Tell Jose (one of the bus drivers) "Roberto" from team #1 says hi. I sent him an e-mail, but I don't know if he got it.
