Kris Blais Sees La Chureca

The other day walked through the dump. Yes the work area was dirty, dusty, and smokey... but it was a work area. The homes were dirty and made of scrap metal, plastic, wood and dirt... but they were homes. The children had dirt on their faces and most lacked shoes and shirts... but they were playing. As I walked through the dump today, I didn't feel sad. As I walked through the village and met the children, I felt joy. The only thing that scares me, is what will happen to these children. The enemy is waiting outside the village, ready to pounce. He's after their joy. As followers of Christ, we can't stand back and watch that happen.

Well said Kris. Material things do not bring a person true happiness....it's the love of God, family and friends and the appreciation of those relationships that bring happiness and contentment. The world is a better place when we take the time to reach out to others by listening and/or offering a helping hand. Each of you have made a difference this past week. Not only have you touched many lives in such a positive way that won't ever be forgotten, but I would bet that each of you have been impacted as well and your level of happiness, contentment and appreciation for life has increased as a result of the relationships you've built this past week.

Team 1.....travel safely tomorrow. Team 2....travel safely tonight.....

KC Blais....anxious to see the "Kris in the tree picture". Love you son.
